OK, I have been following this and in a Google search, have not found any top articles that even get a quote from a representative of the tribe.
I know there are long-standing political issues with sovreignity but for the love of pete, can't one of the newspapers present both sides of the issue?

I suspect the tribe's attitude is that they want to resolve this legally and have no interest in playing "let's work this out in the public media." After all, they're more likely than not to get screwed, there.
Stand on their legal rights, and just ignore the hubbub.
Hopefully. It really bothers me how much bad feeling there is toward the tribes around here. It smacks of racism.
